Minerva is the Los Angeles Area Manager at Parsons. She was born in Mexico and raised in Modesto, CA, the daughter of migrant farm workers. Growing up, she worked alongside her nine siblings in the fields on weekends and during school breaks to help support her parents. A first-generation college graduate, Minerva’s educational journey was long and often uncertain. Without guidance, she attended four colleges and changed her major three times before ultimately earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona.
Her professional path was equally challenging. She navigated her career without the benefit of a mentor, an experience that shaped her passion for mentoring others. Today, Minerva is committed to sharing her knowledge and experience so that her mentees can avoid the obstacles she faced. She focuses on building strong relationships and effective communication, believing these are the cornerstones of growth and success. Through her volunteer work and public engagement, Minerva has made significant contributions to the community. She is the Co-Founder of MEI Mentoring, Inc., helping individuals recognize their potential and achieve their goals. She is an active member of several professional organizations and has held various leadership roles, SHPE, ASCE, ACEC & WTS. |
