Elizabeth is a Software Test Engineer at Medtronic, helping develop next-generation insulin pumps for patients with Type-1 diabetes.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a first-generation college student, she developed a passion for helping others with similar experiences navigating college. At Texas A&M she was heavily involved in the Access and Inclusion program and the SHPE student chapter. In SHPE, she served as the MentorSHPE Representative, Director of Academic Development, and Vice-President during her four years in the organization. She now serves as the Director of Outreach for the SHPE Los Angeles chapter with hopes to continue providing local university students and young professionals with resources to accomplish their goals as aspiring engineers. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is passionate about art and music. Her favorite things to do include going to concerts and art museums, as well as exploring everything Los Angeles has to offer as a new resident. |
